Big Light Letters hires 1.2m and 60cm light up letters, A-Z plus symbols, across Melbourne and Brisbane. You book online, and our crew delivers, installs and collects. Price is $150 per 1.2m letter in Melbourne and $175 in Brisbane, all inclusive of gst, delivery, set up and collection - no hidden fees. Our letters are solid steel and safe outdoors in any weather, and they're used for corporate events, school formals, birthdays and weddings.

A 20% deposit holds the stock. Balance due 5 days prior to the event. Companies and schools can pay by invoice.

Our crew liaises with your venue, delivers, sets up and tests on the day, then packs down after. Simple.

How much does light up letter hire cost?
Light up letter hire costs $150 per 1.2m letter in Melbourne and $175 per 1.2m letter in Brisbane. Both prices include GST, delivery, installation and collection within our free delivery areas.
Where do you deliver light up letters?
In Victoria, we deliver light up letters free across Melbourne's CBD, inner suburbs and western suburbs, plus Geelong and Ballarat, and in Queensland, free across the Brisbane region, with setup and pack-down included. What sizes are light up letters?
Our light up letters come in 1.2m, 60cm and 40cm, A-Z plus symbols. You can combine sizes to spell longer phrases like CLASS OF 2026.
Can I pick up the letters myself (dry hire)?
No, Big Light Letters doesn't offer dry hire. Our letters are event-grade solid steel, not lightweight props. They travel in our vans on trolleys, and our crew installs them so they're stable and safe around guests.
What's included in light up letter hire?
Delivery, installation, testing, collection, extension leads and stands are all included. You provide one standard power point, and we liaise with your venue.
Can light up letters be set up outdoors?
Yes. Big Light Letters' steel letters can stay outdoors for weeks in any weather. Check this before you book with anyone. Many light up letters are aluminium or timber and can snap at the base in wind, and many steel letters run 240V bulbs that are only safe outdoors when dry. Ours are solid steel, with A-frame stands bolted to the back and custom-made low voltage bulbs 12-24v.
Do you work with venues and corporate clients?
Yes. We carry $20M public liability insurance, every item is tested and tagged, and companies, schools and universities can pay by invoice. We install regularly at MCEC and The Crown in Melbourne, and at W Brisbane, BCEC, and The Star in Brisbane.
Can light up letters change colour?
Yes. Remote-control colour-changing LED bulbs or standard warm white available.
How far ahead should I book light up letters?
Book early for peak dates. We hold multiple alphabet sets, with extra A, E, M and S, but still sell out in peak months like July, November, and December. Availability is live online, and a 20% deposit secures your letters.
