About Us

Hi, we're Chris and Shannon and we started The Big Light Letter Co. in 2018. As many great stories start, it all happened by accident when we were looking to hire big light letters for our event in Brisbane.

To our dismay finding the perfect light letter for hire wasn't as easy as we thought. Hardly any letter hire companies would tell you the price upfront (ain't nobody got time for that), then we wanted to be able to book online, that seemed near impossible (c'mon, in this day and age!) and lastly when we did find out the prices, shock horror they were expensive (some cowboys don't tell you they charge an arm and a leg for delivery until you read the fine print - yikes!).

We didn't end up getting the big light up letters for our event, but we did get a big idea, and that idea was The Big Light Letter Co.

We now hire out high-quality light up letters and light up numbers across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast and everywhere in between.

If you're after straight-up service at straight-up prices with no hidden fees then look no further. Just good wholesome letters and numbers making events memorable.

How much do the giant light letters and numbers cost to hire?

Our price is $125 per letter/number per hire. This includes delivery, set-up and pick-up within 100km of Brisbane CBD.

How big is big?

Our letters are 1.2metres tall and vary in width. Get in touch and we can give you specific dimensions for your chosen letters.

How much is delivery?

Delivery is free within 100km of Brisbane CBD. Contact us for a quote for anything outside this or if you're not sure.

How do I secure my booking and how much is the deposit?

Either book online, give us a call, or chat to us live online. You can secure your booking with a 20% deposit.

Are they safe and legal and all that important stuff?

Our letters are custom-made to the highest safety standards and are tagged and tested.

Where can I/can't I put the letters?

Our letters can be set up indoors and outdoors where there is an accessible power point. We have stands for use on grass or rough terrain and a selection of our letters are rainproof.

Let's get specific, what colour bulbs do the giant light letters and numbers have?

Kudos for your attention to detail. Our standard letter hire comes with 'warm white' lights which is perfect for a subtle but effective centerpiece. Additionally, we do offer bespoke colour options on request.
